Amazing. Just watching the Friday Night Armistice from 1996 - it's actually funnier now, and barely less topical. Well, okay the bus of Dianas would be in slightly poor taste now, but Mr Tony Blair, the humpty dumpty fluffy idiot still works.

Is it the one with us on the audience?

Also, how do I work the website you built me?

Also, I'm off in September, have you got any plans? I need something to do.

Oh wow, now I've switched from poxy netscape mail I can finally reply in the email box like everyone else has been doing all along...

Was it the 1996 ones you were in, or was there a series in 1995? I forgot to look out for you anyway.

Your site? Log in as any of the user accounts you have created (I've added them all into the site administrators). You should now find there is an 'Edit this Page' link in the top right corner of every page. Click on it and you will get editing functions for that page. You can put any HTML into the editing boxes, and the only automatic formatting they do is replacing a double line break with a new paragraph. Doubtless the only other stuff you really need is things like <I>Italics<I> and <B>Italics<B> which you should be used to from LJ anyway. Don't forget to press the update or create button when you're finished with one article on a page before you work on the next, otherwise you will lose your changes. If you want to insert an image, you need to upload it to the site using the File Upload component on the Control Panel (which is called Admin on your site), and then select Image from the insert dropdown in the article editor.

In terms of the site layout, if you go to the Control Panel (which is called Admin on your site just to be outdated), there is a Layout Builder option which lets you play with the layout and stylesheet. The layout itself is probably a bit confusing, but you can change the colour scheme by altering the lines that look like (the number is an rgb code in hex - you should be able to get the code for any colour from the colour picker on photoshop or the like if you have it):
color: #dddddd;
for the foreground, and
background: #bbeebb
for the background.

I have no plans for september. Well, I have to look for a job, but if you feel like going somewhere for a week or two I'm up for balkics. Otherwise come up and visit.

Ryanair has flights from 99p to the Kaunas and £2.79 to Riga. Fez and Marrakesh are also 99p. I do want to go somewhere even if only for a few days.

I don't know what the Kaunas even are - for reasons which are clearly outlined on www.notak.co.uk I am not some kind of travel guide writer...

Riga is good, though given the current state of flying I reckon everywhere should be cheap and I will probably want to pop down to london and fly from there. Of course I'd rather know what the real prices are, rather than the pre-pilot's-lunch-fee imaginary number they decided to use. Any chance of using an airline that isn't owned, run, staffed and frequented entirely by cunts? Even the easy-to-book one with the orange logo that isn't too easy on the eye whose name I can't currently remember would do..

As for the website, I've played aroud with it a it and I'm getting the hang. How do I transfer it to my domain name and how would I change the banner at the top? I haven't got round to working out .jpgs yet.

I'm trying to work out the best way to get it onto your website at the moment. It's easy enough to install but I might need a script to get the contents of the database over. Gimme a couple of days to finish off the calendar thing and I'll get something written...

Hmm, belfast could work - I could cover the whole of the UK instead. As to the logo, if you've got a jpg made up, go to the control panel, File Upload. Click the browse button at the bottom and find the jpeg you created. click "Send File".

Once you've done that gimme a shout and I'll stick it in the layout for you.

Sorry, that should of course have read:

<I>Bold</I> and <B>Italics</B>
